Privacy and photo removal
This site helps people at the event find photos they appear in. It's run by an individual, not by the event organisers or photographers.
Your selfies
- You take three selfies in your browser. You can't upload a photo from your gallery, so you can only search for yourself.
- The selfies are sent over an encrypted connection and checked to make sure they're live photos of one person turning their head.
- Your face is converted into a set of numbers and compared with faces in the event photos. This is biometric processing, and we only do it because you start a search.
- The selfies and the numbers made from them are held in memory for the few seconds the search takes, then discarded. They're never saved, logged or used for anything else.
The event photos
- Faces in the event photos are indexed so they can be searched. The index is kept only for running searches on this site.
- You're only shown the photos that match your selfies, never the whole gallery.
- Searches are protected against automated use and rate-limited.
Remove your photos
If you'd like photos of you removed from search, or have any question about how your data is handled, email the site owner. Include links to the photos (open a photo from your results and copy its address) and we'll remove them from the site and the search index.
